Finding a way home
On this Martin Luther King holiday weekend when the real estate market is so active with people trying to find second homes to buy and rent, there is sad news. We have in northwest harbor east hampton many dolphins who wandered here and cannot seem to find their way home. It is not that we want to be accused of unfair housing or steering but they do not belong here. Marine biologists and volunteers are attempting to coax them to leave east hampton and head for warmer, deeper waters where they will be safe. As much as we love visitors we are truly praying that these dolphins will leave and settle in more appropriate waters. As brokers we sometimes think we are important because we are able to find homes for people but we are helpless and powerless with homeless dolphins. We worry and hope that their broker has much more influence and power than we do.
